During the restoration of the Inn a letter written in 1895 and addressed to Minni Moore from her son was found behind this room's fireplace mantle. The George Wheaton Room: "A builder of vessels." George Wheaton built 23 sailing vessels between 1830-1874 at Wheaton's shipyard, which is now Gaskill Park. The Pennington Room: Mrs. Minni Moore was born a Pennington, with most of her family living across the river in an area known to this day as Pennington Point. This 3rd floor room has lofted ceilings, river views over- looking Pennington Point, a queen size bed, one of the larger private baths and a color TV. The Senators Suite: After being elected to the U.S Senate in 1872, Mr. Moore enlarged his Mays Landing residence with a south wing to better accommodate visiting Washington dignitaries. Part of this addition included three second floor guest quarters. These rooms have been combined for the water view suite containing a bedroom with a queen size bed, private bathroom, a sitting room with a fireplace and a canopied porch with river views.
